finally it feels like spring here... good to see some sun today... pls pls pls keep going... so that i can enjoy some park... hv a fun weekend... cheers me up...

if u wonder how amazing london is, here're some examples...

30+/F, applying mascara to her eyelashes with one hand in the tube train travelling at a speed of 80km/hr, standing, the other hand holding a mirror...

30+/M, on a rainy day, pushing a baby carriage (presumably with a baby in it)... to prevent the baby from getting wet, the carriage was wrapped completely with cling film... a very clever way to keep whatever inside dry... unfortunately, i wasnt able to tell whether the baby is living or not...

60+/M, running downstairs swiftly and happily, carrying a stick with him but not using it...

fun oxford fun ball

i had so much fun over the weekend... i'm not a party animal kind of person... nights out would easily end up boring... but i had this one this weekend... one which was fantastic!

an annual ball was held in exeter college of oxford on saturday... it's not like ordinary kind of ball where ppl had fine dining and dance... it's an outdoor carnival... different types of fun going on in different tents... they set up an ice skating area... they had stunt man playing with fire... they had shisha... an oxygen bar... pillow fight on an inflatable stage... bull riding machine... incredible isnt it??? the rabbit and i were still enjoying the moments on sunday... cool...

work

i come to Guy's each morning with some hope that i'd have a fruitful day with my schedule... and today, like all other days, it ends early, sessions cancelled and i'm left with nth to do... fortunately i dont pay a tution fee here, that would be a real waste of money... o actually back in my own school i dont always hv school for full days... but here without the pressure of exams i'd like to do something... o dear i'm afterall a workaholic...

forgive and forget

i cant describe how much i hate my tutor here... no i dont usually hate ppl... but he just upsets me... for 3 days already... ppl around suggested me not to think about him... well i know i have been trying... quite hard actually... maybe i've expected too much out of this elective... ok it's better today... not that he's become a better person, he never appears... it's there're better ppl in the dept and they help me forget about him...

just rented a car for the weekend... gonna head north and have some fun meet mmc and forget about my elective here...

remember some lines in the schindler's list... something like it's better for u if u'd forgive somebody rather than to hate somebody... think it makes u feel better becoz u have more control over forgiving... whereas hate is more reactive and passive... and it's sort of more grand... which suits perfect with my narcissistic personality...

hi my name is ka

i was busy settling down in my temporary home in canary wharf over the weekend... i begin to like the place... despite pretty far from central london... it's kinda okay to reside in...

today we went register for the elective here... as i've expected... we were directed to a wrong place... where the right person didnt turn up for work... then we're directed to the right place... where i was given a new name Ka... i presume londoners do meet a lot of chinese right? and they have plenty of chinese students here in GKT right? so how can they be so stupid not to know which is the right name to use...

thenar cyanosis

yesterday morning i was driving to tennis... my wrists hurt a little... naturally i looked at them for something positive... omg... my thenars were blue (thenar = the prominent piece of meat under your thumb)... they're literally blue and cold... i've never seen more obvious peripheral cyanosis... for 2 seconds i was worried that they will necrose off... um.. i need to rescue them... so i rubbed the 2 thenar against each other hoping to improve circulation... nope, still bluish... next, i blew some warm air over the thenar areas... because my big mouth's not big enough to cover the whole thenar area... only the part covered turned red... good... it's reversible... o vasoconstriction... for half a second i wonder if it's raynaud's of the thenar... o come on, carry on driving... hee...

pinkish pinkie pink

i've decided i don't hv the guts to pierce my ears... um... probably won't do it during the super vacation... let's wait until i hv another crave or when i earn enough $$ to buy plenty of diamonds...

i have a growing affection towards colour pink... when i fit caps and shoes... the first one i pick would be pink... ha... remember at the age of 10... it was a *yuck* colour, so is anything with laces... thought they're too girlish (though i'm always a girl)... and strawberry ice-cream had an awful taste...

strawberry ice cream is now my #1 choice... i bought a pink suede bag last month... a pair of glittering violet hair clips last week... a pair of pink socks today... fortunately i didnt pick pink when i highlight my hair today...

jian zi

we've bought a new toy during our beijing trip... it's a jian zi... in english, a shuttlecock or featherball... it's believed to be the origin of badminton... it's now my mum's #1 favourite... many beijing ppl play it (ti jian zi) in the park during the day... healthy lifestyle, probably in attempt to rescue some lungs which are killed by cigarettes...

we suddenly decided to do some sports after lunch today... so we kicked it in the playground... think it's some years since the whole family last took part in something "sporty"... it looks easy, but it's not, we could hardly kick it for more than 5 times in a row... we gonna practise more!!! we played for 30 minutes and found ourselves tired and sweating...

i just realise i think a lot less since the beginning of this super vacation... and therefore less thoughts to post... haha... each day i'm bothered with where to play, whom to meet and what to prepare for my next trip... um... well that's my plan... ha, i hv a pretty luxurious life these days...

i had my first facial experience today... i begin to understand why so many many beauty salons are opening and yet the market can accommodate even more! the saying that it's easy to earn women's money is actually pretty correct... it's fun, relaxing and happy... and most importantly, u feel u're prettier when u step out of the salon... i think i've fallen into the trap and i'll probably return and go for more funny things...

beijing trip

just back from my beijing trip, lovely... bj itself cant be a very luvly place when there're always traffic jams and still ppl spitting here and there, unbelievable... it's great though to be away from hk and be with my family... absolutely nothing related to medic came up to my mind in the past few days, not even remotely related... i felt i really had some rests, cool...

i've never been there before... so it's basically sightseeing and sightseeing... hvnt done this for quite some years... i believe i walked for what i normally do for a whole month... so tiring... so different... shall post some photos i took exclusively for this blog tmr...
