habits

met up with my fellow medics and qeh interns this week... happy chats... almost everyone is complaining about their new units and are recalling their old days in the 1st rotation... even for those who worked in hell before...

guess we all have this intention to consider what we first learnt as the "proper" way how things should be done... any change to it has become so unacceptable and stupid... can't believe we young smart doctors are all so stubborn...

now different people have different practice... i notice many doctors have a strong tendency to consider their habits the "proper" ones... whether junior or senior... and then because of this they tend to change others' management... actually when a patient is NPO... it doesnt really matter whether it's 2D1S Q8H or 2D2S Q6H, or hartmann Q4H... the patient will be able to regulate and will be fine anyway...

i dont really appreciate this business of changing other's management when it is simply not your way... especially in a hospital where a patient is seen by so many people... sometimes my seniors cancel things written by others and tell me USUALLY we dont' do this... well it's not your habit doesnt mean it's wrong... and think we should always give a little respect to others...
