maids number one & two

yungyung is finally *discharged* after five months of hospital stay... she moved into nursing home... though she's still having a bit of pain here and there, she's living in a better place and we can visit her whenever we like... the nursing home is a pretty nice one... it has an outdoor area and lots of parking space... there're also physiotherapists & dietitan... the funny bit is most elders have their own maids... so each day these maids arrive in the morning and leave when sunsets... after the gungung & porpors finish their meals the maids reheat their packed lunch and dine together... it's like a sunday everyday because they get to meet their mates and talk in their language all the time... i think it's quite a nice job for them because there's nothing much to do really... some elders are even mute... we hired a maid for yungyung too... she'll not let us go if we don't... as usual she thinks the maid's lazy but she likes her and needs her around! haha... her name is carolyn and i think she's luckier than other maids... because she's served by another maid, ami who takes care of housework... so now we have 2 maids living here... i can see they're very happy with their job because they have a buddy now and they're sharing a very limited amount of housework... i've never thought of having two helpers at home... before we find our houseworks more efficiently done... mum & i noticed the foodstuffs are finished faster! now because there're two of them... ami, who used to eat very little, begins to cook philippino food at home... on the day when one of them is on leave... my mum even cooks for the other... o dear... i dunno what's going on here... the good thing my chance of doing wash-ups is further lowered... and it helps me grow lazier...
