my first ever face cream

i was watching a pond's cream commercial and couldn't resist typing this entry...

it reminded me of my first ever face cream, i was around ten then, it's a whitening cream from pond's... yungyung gave me the cream one day... it surprised me a little, i never thought she would have bought something like this... consider she was an old lady born in the 1920s... she never used any beauty goods apart from the once-famous "two girls" rose face cream (雪花膏) which she believed magical... for the first time she bought this western product & it was all for me... remember she said she didn't like it when people said i was dark... it is only today, some twenty years later, that i realise how much love & concern there was in that very flask with a bright red lid...

i wish i could remember my acid-base as much as the lines between yungyung & i....
