getting up early

i hvnt been geting up early since surgical clerkship... mornings here are too cold for me to get out of bed... today, i got up real early to see some surgical patients... my day began at 0650...

what i wanna say is, it's quite amazing to find it's only 0945 when i've already clerked some patients, had breakfast and clerked some more patients... by noon, when i'm normally still in bed... many tasks are already completed...

when it's a good use of time to wake up early, the cost is being drowsy and slow... it's only 2 weeks before exam... and i'm making all the stupid mistakes during case clerking... failed to detect a pleural effusion, failed to differentiate a brisk jerk from a normal jerk... and there's this nice and enthusiastic houseman trying to give me some guidance on short cases... and i acted like a complete idiot... so much so the houseman doubted if i'm going to pass my final MB... omg... worst of all, medicine's my bigbig favourite... sigh... maybe it's related to getting up early... maybe that's just an excuse... no matter what it is... it's no no no good to shake my confidence at this critical time...
