red packets
didn't notice
there're lots of chinese new year greetings on facebook these days... many mentioned our traditional red packets... it bothers me a bit when most people actually wrote red "pockets" instead of "packets"... i'm pretty certain it is "packets" and not otherwise... this is one of the common pitfalls taught by my respectable high school english teacher... since so many disagree with me, i did a little search on the internet... in wikipedia, actually both packet & pocket are included in the chinese new year page... see when a lie is told for the hundredth time, it becomes truth... how scary... and it also reminds me things on the internet cannot be totally trusted, bearing in mind wikipedia is written by the public... wrong is made right again... as it always happens...
